Description

PLATINUM ULTRAX 15W-40 is a premium quality commercial multi-grade oil for use in light/heavy duty diesel and gasoline engines. It is intended primarily for the lubrication of automotive engines of commercial vehicles, including those operating on relatively high sulfur diesel fuels. PLATINUM ULTRAX 15W-40 meets the requirements of modern, low emission diesel engines as well as high performance gasoline engines, allowing it to be used in mixed-fleet operations.

• PLATINUM ULTRAX 15W-40 multi-grade oil is designed to impart an excellent thermal and oxidation stability, very high detergency and dispersancy level, very good protection against corrosion and high standard of load carrying capacity. All these properties result in clean engines, both for diesel and gasoline, under either high or low temperature conditions. The compounded additive also reduce cylinder bore and piston ring wear.
• PLATINUM ULTRAX 15W-40 on extended field trials have proven that the drain period can be extended beyond normal service with maximum intervals as established by regular laboratory analysis and in consultation with engine manufacturer.

Application

PLATINUM ULTRAX 15W-40 multi-grade oil is designed for high-speed turbocharged or naturally aspirated diesel and gasoline engines operating under severe service conditions occurring in commercial transport and heavy construction equipment. The oil is specially suited for mixed fleets, and its versatility enables the operator to rationalize on the number of oil grades that have to be used. PLATINUM ULTRAX 10W-30 is best for CRDI engines.
