PLATINUM GEARFILM SYN is a long life synthetic gear lubricant for all mechanical transmissions and gear boxes. PLATINUM GEARFILM SYN contains a sulfur phosphorous type additive designed for extreme pressure application commonly found in gear sets. PLATINUM GEARFILM SYN provides better lubrication at cold and high temperatures because of the excellent viscosity index obtained by the use of a synthetic base. This means that all temperature, a sufficient oil film thickness is maintained on all the moving surfaces ensuring reduction of wear and preventing seizure even under heavy loads. PLATINUM GEARFILM SYN can significantly reduce operating costs by extending drain intervals, reducing sludge, varnish and deposit formations and by lowering oil consumption. PLATINUM GEARFILM SYN comes in a viscosity grade that simplifies inventory by stocking only one type of oil and avoids error in proper oil selection.
